Mellow Yellow

Hi everyone!

It's Nat here, bringing you this week's new dare!

First of all thanks to everyone who played along with our Childhood (book) heroes dare last week!

In an effort to spread a little sunny cheer in the cardmaking world this week we're focussing on a much underused colour in crafting - granted it can be a tricky one to match with other colours, but the focus this week is all on the colour:

YELLOW!

You can combine it with neutral shades of white, grey, cream, and black - but the predominant colour on your card must be yellow.

Here are the fantastic projects the design team came up with.

Childhood (book) Heroes

Good Morning crafters!

Thanks to everyone who joined Beckie's "Love, initially" challenge last week - we definitely got to see some LOVE-ly cards from you!

It's Svenja here and I'd like to invite you to take a little stroll down memory lane this week. Do you remember the time when your parents would read a good-night story for you? And then the first books you read on your own? And probably over and over again just because you loved their characters so much...

I'd like you to create a card to commemorate this time and your

Childhood (book) Heroes.

Be it The Famous Five or The Three Investigators, Max and Moritz or Alice in Wonderland, the girls from St. Clare's or Peter Pan and Captain Hook or someone else entirely - who were the written heroes that accompanied you through your childhood and youth?

Need some extra inspiration? Just have a look at the Design Team's creations!

Dawn - Wizard of Oz / Land of Oz

Sharon - Alice in Wonderland

Svenja - The Three Investigators (books and audioplays)
Nat - Winnie the Pooh

Kathy  - Winnie the Pooh

Miri The Three Investigators

Jo - Dr. Seuss

Zuzana - Le Avventure di Chiodino

LOVE, Initially

Hi everyone, hope you enjoyed Sharon's Element Dare last week and was inspired by all the doodling and colour.

You may have noticed that tomorrow is St Valentines day!!!  The web has been filled with all things LOVE and it got me thinking
about this weeks dare .....

So you are probably not surprised that it's going to be a LOVE card but here is the twist ... it doesn't have to be if you don't want it to be, it could even be a birthday card of a thank you note ......

The dare this week is to use at least one item/product
on your card beginning with each of the
 letters L.O.V and E.

We look forward to seeing what you come up with, make sure you scroll down to see some inspiration from the DT to help you on your way

Elemental Inspiration for February

Hi everyone, it's Sharon here, and as it's the first Friday in the month, that can only mean one thing - our monthly Elemental Inspiration picture.  Before we get into that though, thanks to everyone that joined in with Zuzana's fab challenge last week, we loved looking at your wonderful pockets and envelopes.

Now, to this week's dare, I'd like to see at least 3 elements from this picture on your card:
and to get you started, here's some inspiration from the Design Team:
