WATSTHAFETTLETHEDAYLASSIES?

Or, for non Geordies, How are you feeling today, Girls?
That is a small reminder that this week's main dare is to use a different language on a card, how you interpret (hahaha) this is up to you. Please keep them coming, we've seen some great cards so far but would love to see loads more!

OK are you ready for this week's Little Extra?
We have a recipe for you this time.

Your card must feature
1 Tag
2 different ribbons or fibres
3 different patterned papers.

You are free to add extra bits to the ingredients if you feel the need

As usual, leave us a message where we can see your card, or send a pic to the gallery via the email address. Looking forward to seeing your creations, here are a few of ours to start you off.

Wilkom, Bienvenue, Welcome

......Have you all finished singing now? The Design team have been singing that tune whilst creating this weeks cards.

Thanks to everyone who has shared their creations with them, we love seeing them and we look at all the blogs posted. A special mention goes to those who have been inspired by our dares but not yet shared their cards with us, we would love to see them! Remember there are now two ways to join in - either click the comment link and give us the link to your own blog to show off your card, or you can email it to daringcardmakers@hotmail.co.uk and be added to our gallery. So Please Please join in!

And so onto this week. The dare this week is set by Tracie (Bondgirl) and she promises it is easier then it first sounds so if you are ready ......

Your challenge this week is to create a card which uses a different language. Have a look through our Design Teams creations and remember to click through to their personal blogs for more information on the cards.

Sew, How are you getting on?

Still plenty of time to get your name up in lights - well, on our links list (see right) for this week's Dare, anyway! We love to see your cards, and we always visit your site if you leave us a message, so please don't be nervous, just have some fun and join in with the dares.

Here are just a few more cards from the team in case you've not already found them on our blogs.
All the contact info is in the main message for this dare - we're looking forward to hearing from you.

Introducing DCM Little Extras
We thought you'd like another little idea to play with part way through the week, so here's the first of our "Little Extras" - you can use this sketch to make a card for the current Dare, or you can just use it as a sketch for any cards you want to make. You can bend it, shrink it, turn it on it's head - as long as we can still see this template there, anything goes - We'd love to see what you come up with. Leave a message for us, or email it to us at the address on the message below.

Are you ready for Dare 3?

Well, you certainly rose to the challenge this week, we loved seeing your cards for the "Use the Kitchen" Dare. Such a fantastic variety of ideas and inventive use of materials and kitchen equipment. Thank you to everyone who left us messages and joined in with the challenge, don't forget to check the links list for the blogs where you can see all the cards entered for the last couple of Dares. . Hopefully the kitchen will no longer be such a scary place for crafters to venture into:-)

This week - Kathy's Dare - A Stitch in Time....

I'd like you to continue in the Domestic Goddess vein and do some sewing. Your card this week needs to feature "real" sewing (none of that cheating by drawing crosses with a gel pen...). It can be by hand or machine but there must be some sort of sewing on there - I'd also like you to get your sewing box out and see what you can find to use on your cards; tapes, braids, buttons, zips, trims - anything goes.

Now TWO ways to show us your cards
1. leave a message on the blog and we'll come and look. We'll also add a link to the sidebar to make it easy for readers to visit your site and see what you've been up to.
2. We now have a gallery ready and waiting for non-blogger's cards. Just email your pictures to
daringcardmakers@hotmail.co.uk and as soon as they've been OK'd they'll appear on the gallery. Please remember to add your name, the dare your card is for and your website info if you have one. If you can tell us how you came across The Daring Cardmakers that would be great too.

So, are you ready to play? Got your needles at the ready? Here are some of our ideas to get you going, there are more to follow during the coming week, so don't forget to come back for another look. We'll all post the pics again on our own blogs, along with more information on how we made the cards and the stuff we've used, plus maybe some extra bits and bobs - so don't forget to check them all out.

Here we go - DARE 2 !

Well, we had a wonderful 1st week, we really enjoyed your beautiful cards, well done everyone !Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement- we really do appreciate it. This week’s dare was set by Jane and is entitled 'USE THE KITCHEN’.

Basically, you can have ANY theme- but the card must have either an item from your kitchen featured on it or would have used something in the kitchen to make it (oven, iron etc)! Bit tricky eh ? Well it wouldn't be a challenge if it was easy now, would it! The design team has come up trumps with some truly wonderful cards once again. We hope they will inspire and encourage you to join in on dare No. 2 The team have all put details of what they have used, techniques and so on, on their individual blogs, so don't forget to check their blogs to find out all the trade secrets ! lol !
