December Flowers - Holly and Narcissus

Thank you all for sharing such fabulous and fun Moustachio cards last week, we had a wonderful time visiting your blogs!

After a bit of a break, we're getting back to having Guest Designers on the DCM - not only does it give you a break from seeing just our cards (hehe) on here, but it gives us the chance to introduce some of our favourite card makers and see their work on our blog.
So this week we're thrilled to announce that the Fabulous
will be playing along with us from now, right through till the end of January. Please go and visit Gez's blog as her crafting isn't just about making cards - her stamping and inky skills are amazing and you'll be missing a treat if you don't click HERE and see the things she makes! Welcome to the team, Gez!

As it's the first dare of the month, we have our "Flowers of the Month" challenge this week - but of course December's flowers brings the series to an end - we do hope you've enjoyed and felt inspired by the theme.
Next year we're starting a whole new Monthly Challenge Theme - so watch out for that at the start of January!
December's flowers are:
Holly and Narcissus

so we'd like you to make a card taking your inspiration from either of these - we think
we know which will be the most popular already.....;-)

We're looking forward to seeing what you make, so please come back and share your creations with us.

Here are the cards the DT have made to help get you thinking.

Water, Water, Everywhere....

A big Thank You to everyone who found inspiration in the jewellery box last week and made such lovely cards to share with us.

The theme for this week's cardmaking is
WATER

You could make a card with a watery theme (lakes, rivers, fishies, boats etc), or maybe you'll find a way to actually use some water in the making of your card eg colouring with watercolours

We're looking forward to seeing what you make so please come and leave a link (and a message) when you're ready to share

Bejewelled

It was great to see so many beautiful cards for last weeks Chrysanthemum challenge - what a great start to a new year of DCM challenges!

It's Sharon here setting this weeks challenge.
I'd like to see cards inspired by a piece of
jewellery
- you can be inspired by the colour, the stone, or the design.
A good place to start is looking at the pictures on pinterest - that's where I found the gorgeous ring that inspired my card. If you visit our personal blogs, you'll be able to find out what inspired the  rest of the team to make their cards

Can't wait to see what you come up with. Here are the Design Team's cards to inspire you:

Chrysanthemums for Our Birthday!

We had a wonderful time seeing all your Fantastic Felties cards last week - what fab inspiration you shared with us, thank you.

Last week's dare was Dare No 52 of Year 5 of Daring Cardmakers challenges - yes, we've been around THAT long! And we still enjoy setting the dares and making our cards. A Huge THANK YOU to all of you who pop in week by week to see what we're up to, and especially to those of you who join in with our challenges - we really do appreciate your support.
The DT members may have changed but our aims remain the same - to inspire and challenge you (and ourselves) to make cards, no matter what your style and no matter what your experience is. We remain open to all, have no allegiance to any company and we actively encourage as much variety as possible - we definitely do not judge one card above another so when we offer prizes winners are always chosen at random.

For our first dare of year 6 it's a return to our year-long celebration of flowers associated with each month. According to our list there is just one flower for November and it's the
Chrysanthemum
Luckily there are lots of different types, so plenty of inspiration to be had - just do a Google Image Search on Chrysanthemum and you'll be spoiled for choice!

We hope you'll join in and celebrate our DCM "New Year" with us by making your own Chrysanthemum inspired card and sharing it with us. We're looking forward to seeing what you make - they should make a wonderful Birthday Bouquet!
Here are the cards the team have made this week to help get you thinking - there will be more to come, so do come back again to check them out.

Fantastic Felties

Hi Everyone!
It's Nat here welcoming you to another Friday and another dare here on the blog.
Thanks to all those who joined in with the fab sketch dare last week.

This week I want to see you get creative with felt.
I just love the stuff but seem to always do the same old same old with it... so I'm really looking forward to seeing what creative ideas you come up with.
You can use felt to make your own handmade embellishments (even include some threading and beading if you're feeling energetic), use some pre-made felties, or even raid the accessories sale bins for something unique to add to your project!

And if you're still stuck for ideas, why not check out the felty ideas on Pinterest.
Happy creating!

Here's what felt-a-licious projects the design team came up with this week:
