"First Friday" Colour Combo1

Happy New Year!
Helloooooooo
We're back after out Christmas Break and raring to go with lots of lovely new dares to challenge you. A huge thank you to everyone who joined in with Keilly's "Spots and Stripes" challenge - the cards were wonderful (as always) and entries have just kept on coming!

This week we have the very first in our brand new "First Friday" series. Over the last couple of years we've used Birthstones and Flowers for these challenges, and they've both been interesting and inspiring themes to work with.
For 2012 the First Friday of each month will feature a
Colour Combo Challenge
It should be fun - we're all taking a turn at choosing a combination of colours to base our card-making around so there should be a fab variety of hues and tones to get us creating. We hope you'll enjoy the idea and feel inspired to join in with us.
Fran is kicking off this new series in style with a fab inspiration photo and colour palette
We're really looking forward to seeing what you create using these wonderful colours, so please come back and leave your link (and a comment would be nice too) when you are ready to share.
Here's how the DT used this colour palette for our crafting this week

A Nordic Christmas

Hi everyone, it's Fran here, and before I tell you about this week's Dare, we'd like to thank all of you who joined in with December's Flower of the Month Dare - such lovely projects on show.

Now onto the challenge! Taking inspiration from the photo above, I'd like you to create cards / projects with a Nordic Theme this week - think knitted jumpers, reindeer and lots of red and white!

We can't wait to see what you create!

December Flowers - Holly and Narcissus

Thank you all for sharing such fabulous and fun Moustachio cards last week, we had a wonderful time visiting your blogs!

After a bit of a break, we're getting back to having Guest Designers on the DCM - not only does it give you a break from seeing just our cards (hehe) on here, but it gives us the chance to introduce some of our favourite card makers and see their work on our blog.
So this week we're thrilled to announce that the Fabulous
will be playing along with us from now, right through till the end of January. Please go and visit Gez's blog as her crafting isn't just about making cards - her stamping and inky skills are amazing and you'll be missing a treat if you don't click HERE and see the things she makes! Welcome to the team, Gez!

As it's the first dare of the month, we have our "Flowers of the Month" challenge this week - but of course December's flowers brings the series to an end - we do hope you've enjoyed and felt inspired by the theme.
Next year we're starting a whole new Monthly Challenge Theme - so watch out for that at the start of January!
December's flowers are:
Holly and Narcissus

so we'd like you to make a card taking your inspiration from either of these - we think
we know which will be the most popular already.....;-)

We're looking forward to seeing what you make, so please come back and share your creations with us.

Here are the cards the DT have made to help get you thinking.
