Going Geek

It has been great to see you all getting fussy with that cutting this last week.
And now for something completely different!
I (Lythan) have a son who is 18 this week and he is a real Geek - loves computers, computer games, physics, obscure comics (mostly online), Big Bang Theory and did I mention computers? So I thought I would throw out a real challenge and see what we could come up with in terms of making cards that celebrate Geek- dom. So the dare is....

Going Geek
and as an extra reward this week there is a random prize draw
To be in the Draw to win our prize:
Make a card for this challenge and leave a link so that we can see it
Add links in THE MAIN BODY of your blog to:
Imagine That and the Daring Cardmakers
You may link to no more than 10 challenges including this one

Fussy Cuts!

Seeing all the cards you made using May's Colour Combo was a real treat - thank you so much for joining in.

This week it's Jo here to set the challenge and I'd like you to use
your patterned paper in a slightly different way
Fussy Cutting
Instead of using your paper "straight", this week it's all about using the designs
on the paper as your inspiration and cutting bits from them to build up a background and/or to make an embellishment
We're looking forward to seeing how you make your papers work for
you this week, so grab your scissors and get clipping

Here are some ideas for our team to get your thinking

Did You Win? (please scroll down for new challenge)

Last week's challenge "Tag You're It!" was sponsored by the most wonderful new online store - a real treasury of unusual and beautiful embellishments
A HUGE thank you to Tea House Bridge for donating this lovely prize - it's now time to announce the winner of this wonderful array of goodies:

We've used a Random Number Generator and checked that the person it chose complied with the rules - you'd be surprised at how many people missed out on a chance to win this fantastic prize by not checking them!
The winner is:
congratulations, Milla.please contact us at DCM_enquiries@hotmail.co.uk with your postal details and we'll arrange for your prize to be sent to you.
Sadly, there could be only one winner - but why not pop over to
Tea House Bridge and be tempted by all the loveliness they have to offer!

The Sportsman

Thanks to everyone who joined in with Gez's challenge last week - if you made a card and checked that you'd complied with the rules then you could be the very lucky winner to be announced in just a few minutes - we'll be back as soon as possible with the name of the winner..
Our fabulous prize has been donated by our very own Zuzana, who recently opened the doors of her brand new online store Tea House Bridge.
Meanwhile, we can get started on our new challenge and it's me (Kathy) here this week to set the dare
There are no fewer than 7 family birthdays coming up in May, and 5 of them are "boys".  I always struggle when it comes to making boy/man cards, and I know a lot of you will be just the same.   I thought we could all help each other out by challenging ourselves to make at least one masculine card this week - and to make it a little bit easier we'll go for a Sporting theme:
The Sportsman
So, a masculine card with a sporting theme - it can be for any age of "boy" you like - from baby boy to Grandads, just make sure it also has some sort of sport featured too - footie, rugby, fishing, weightlifting, golf, athletics....the whole sporting arena is yours to choose from.

Are you ready?

Then let's make some cards!

Here are some fab ideas from the team to help get you thinking
