Resin inspiration

Hi everyone!

It's Nat here back with another dare. Thanks to all those who joined in with our Jubilee-inspired colour challenge last week - there were some lovely cards indeed. And it was also lovely to see how some folks were celebrating the Jubilee. :)

This week the design team was set the challenge of creating a card featuring resin embellishments.

I have totally fallen in love with these items. Not only are scrapbooking manufacturers creating their own lines of these pretty little additions to go with their paper collections, but there are so many etsy stores and lovely online shops offering resin embellishments in every style, size, and colour you can think of.

June's Colour Combo Challenge

Hi everyone, it's Nat here!


This week it's the return of our monthly colour dare and I'm sure our UK visitors can guess what colours I've chosen! :)

Yes, in honour of the upcoming festivities going on this weekend to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee the colours I've chosen are Red, White, and Blue. Well it was hard not to... as they are everywhere at the moment. :)

Going Geek

It has been great to see you all getting fussy with that cutting this last week. 

And now for something completely different!

I (Lythan) have a son who is 18 this week and he is a real Geek - loves computers, computer games, physics, obscure comics (mostly online), Big Bang Theory and did I mention computers? So I thought I would throw out a real challenge and see what we could come up with in terms of making cards that celebrate Geek- dom. So the dare is....

Fussy Cuts!

Seeing all the cards you made using May's Colour Combo was a real treat - thank you so much for joining in.

This week it's Jo here to set the challenge and I'd like you to use 
your patterned paper in a slightly different way

Fussy Cutting

Instead of using your paper "straight", this week it's all about using the designs
 on the paper as your inspiration and cutting bits from them to build up a background and/or to make an embellishment
