Written by Daniel Defoe it was based partly on the story of Alexander Selkirk who was marooned on a Pacific island for four years.

On April 11th 1855 Britain's first pillar (mail) boxes were installed. Then in 1874 the original bronze-green colour was changed to the iconic bright red we all know and love!
So be inspired by all things 'snail-mail' this week;

April's Sentimental Challenge; With Sympathy

  Hello Crafty friends!

Thank you for joining in with last week's Mellow Yellow challenge, there's something really wonderful and cheering about Yellow, isn't there? A dash of sunny yellow definitely brightens the spirits

It's the first Friday of the month and time for our Monthly Sentimental Challenge;

 The theme for April is
With Sympathy

Perhaps the hardest of all the cards we make, its so difficult to express how much we care for someone experiencing so much pain and sorrow.
But Sympathy and Condolence cards mean so much to those who grieve

These challenges help us grow our stock of cards for those times we need something special and thoughtful.
So join in, make a couple of cards to match the sentiment and always ...
