Belt and Braces

Thank you for the bumper crop of Stripes last week. You obviously love a stripe as much as we do. Let's see if this week's challenge floats your boat.
The theme is
Belt and Braces
in the UK it is 31 years today since seat belts were made compulsory and to celebrate I thought it would be nice to belt up on a card as well!
Here are the amazing design team cards. We would love to see your creations so do add a link at the end of the post

Earning Your Stripes

Thank you for joining in last week Kathy's "What's your tipple" challenge.
It's Zuzana here bringing you  your next dare.  Are you ready to
earn your stripes?
My topic is very simple.
Make a card with stripes on it.  It's completely up to you what kind of technique you choose, anything you can think of just show us some stripes!
Take a look  at all  these fabulous cards the design team have created and don't forget to leave us your link with card you made.

Happy crafting!

"What's Your Tipple?"

A HUGE thank you to all those who shared such beautiful cards using our January Colour Combo - what a great start to 2014's crafting!

This week it's me (Kathy) here with a challenge for you.

 "What's Your Tipple?"
or alternatively, "I'll Drink to That!"
is all about the things we like to drink;  Tea, Coffee, Wine, Beer, Drinking Chocolate.....and the bottles, cups, glasses and mugs we use for them too
I love my cappuccinos, but at this time of year it's often a big mug of thick, rich, hot chocolate that hits the spot.  I like to heat the milk using the steamer bit of my cappuccino machine so I can top the mug off with some milky froth... mmmm I think I'll go and make one NOW!

So to recap (and get myself back on-topic) this week I'd like to see lots of drinks and drinking vessels on your card.
Cheers!

Here's what the team have been creating to help get you thinking

January Colour Challenge

Happy New Year fellow crafters!

Welcome back - I hope you're ready to join in with another year of inspiring challenges. :)

It's Nat here introducing you to the first of our dares for 2014.

This week sees the return of our ever-popular monthly colour dare. It's my turn to choose our palette for the week, and I couldn't resist this lovely mix of shades - perfect for cooler tones, but also bright shades to lighten up these grey January days.

Here's your colour inspiration for January:

We hope you enjoy mixing and matching these shades and look forward to seeing what you create!

Here are the cards the Design Team came up with!

This Little Light of Mine

Thank you if you joined in with Beckie's Christmas Film quote cardmaking last week.
This week it's the final dare of 2013 as we're taking a couple of weeks off over Christmas,
Can you believe we're heading for another new year already? It's been an amazing 2013 of Daring Cardmaking and we'll be back for more in 2014!

For the last dare of 2013 we have. for you....

'This Little Light of Mine'

Lights are always associated with Christmas - candles, stars, fairy lights - and those "tiered" candle holders from Scandinavia which I can't remember the name of - I'm sure someone will let us know.....
So please use any sort of light associated with the Christmas Season on your cards - and you have an extra long time to join in with us this time!

We'll be back on January 10th to start another year of cardmaking challenges, and we hope you'll be back too - so now it only remains for us to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year from the all of us here at the Daring Cardmakers
Have fun!

Christmas Movie Quote

Good morning everyone!  Thanks so much to those who joined in the last weeks colour dare set by Zuzana, weren't they such pretty colours!?

Beckie here today with my dare for you .....

'The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear.'

I love the movie Elf and this has to be one the best sayings from the movie! So this week I am challenging you to use a quote from your favourite Christmas movie on your card.  I may have taken my love of Elf a little too far with my card!  LOL!!

Here are the DT's inspiration for you sharing their quote from their favourite movie .... I wonder if you can guess which movies they are from?
