No scissors, please!

Thanks for taking part in last week’s challenge. We enjoyed having a look at your doodles and were reminded how versatile this technique can be.

This week its my turn (Miri), and I didn’t pick a specific topic or technique for you.
I only dare you to follow one simple “rule”:

No scissors, please!
Decorate a card blank without using scissors or a paper cutter/guillotine. However, you may use your die cutting machine to add labels/shapes etc.

This is a perfect opportunity to use stamps, washi tape, ready-made embellishments etc.

So, go and hide your scissors … and start crafting!

Here's how the team rose to this week's challenge.

there must be a 2 and a 1 on it'

Here is some inspiration from the DT for you

June Colours

Hello, Kathy here this week and the first thing I need to do is say a  big Thank You to all who joined in with Zuzana's "Wish Upon a Star" challenge and shared such gorgeous cards with us.

As it's the first dare of the month I have a Colour Challenge for you. Now my favourite colours at them moment are all those beautiful pastels - especially aquas and peachy shades, but  I've tried to step away from those this time.  It wasn't easy!  I found so many beautiful photos with those pastel palettes that choosing something a bit different was challenge in itself!
In the end though I found this lovely palette of mauve, black and neutral shade which I think is beautifully understated and elegant.
Inspiration Daily
I hope you'll enjoy using this colour palette - I'm looking forward to seeing what you make.  Here are some cards from our fab design team to help get you into the mood

Wish Upon A Star

Thank you everyone who joined in Leo's creative Origami challenge last week.
Hello, it's me Zuzana back here with a new dare for you!

  'Wish Upon A Star'

Do you like watching the stars in summer? I believe everyone does! My favourite are meteor showers. You don't need any special equipment. Spread a blanket on the ground and look up into the dark night sky.

Now, I would like to see stars on your cards. Create a project with a universe or astronomy theme, fairy-tales, sports, birthday stars, music rock stars, stars on the flag ... whatever you fancy!
Here are some fabulous inspiring designs from our Design Team.

Origami

Thank you to every one who joined in with Sharon's Light as a Feather challenge last time. Stay tuned to see who the winner of the prize from Stampin' Up! demonstrator Sarah Keerie will be.

It's Leo here to bring you a new challenge and for this week we're turning to Japan for our inspiration and more specifically to the art of paper folding,
Origami
I'd like you to use either something inspired by Origami on your card or to have a go at making your own Origami embellishment. There are lots of online tutorials to look at with lots of different origami designs perfect to use in paper crafting so it's well worth having a go. If you need more inspiration to kick start your imagination take a look at what the design team have cooked up, (and folded up!) this week. Have fun!
