Hello and welcome to The Daring Cardmakers blog!
We are a team of card-makers from the UK, mainland Europe and India who'll try to inspire and encourage you to make some wonderful cards.
Every Friday at about 10am UK time, one of our design team will post a new dare/challenge, along with our creations to get you inspired.
So go on, give it a try - we dare you!
Leave us a comment with a link to your card so that we can view your lovely creations too!
Thanks to all of you that joined in with Rein's fabulous post theme last week. It was great to see so many fantastic cards.
This week's challenge:
I want to see your Vintage Parisian/Palace of Versailles creations as this week's theme is
Marie Antoinette
There are lots of possibilities with this theme - your card doesn't necessarily have to feature the Queen herself, but can be in a Baroque/Palace of Versailles style, or something inspired by the fantastic gowns and wigs she wore. Or, you could even opt for a 'let them eat cake' inspired card (even though she apparently never actually said that!)
Can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Here are the amazingly beautiful creations the design team came up with this week:
It's lovely to see that so many of you enjoyed last week's dare. There was definitely a lot of love in the air with those red and pink colour combinations!
Thank you to all who joined in with Jo's Wishi-Washi challenge lasdt week - you certainly came up with some great ways to use Washi tape, it was fun to visit your blogs to see your cards.
Our Big News this week is that as we really couldn't bear to let her go after her time as Guest Designer we've managed to persuade the fabulous Gez to join our team full-time. We hope you're just as happy to hear she's staying as we are!
This week it's the First Friday of the Month Colour Combo Challenge and it's Jo back again with her choice of colours:
PinkandRed
Just in case you need a little more colour-inspiration here's a photo to get you thinking:
We're looking forward to seeing a blaze of pink and red shades when we visit your blogs this week - just the right colours to brighten February up, and of course a great chance to get ready for Valentines Day - though any sort of card is fine, of course. Just have fun
