Splish-splash!

Happy Friday crafters!

After putting on our sunglasses last week we're sticking with the summer feeling: let' all go

splish-splash

and make some water-themed cards! Splashing
around bathing or swimming - or maybe you'll want to
create a splishy-splashy background using your inks, sprays and/or genuine waterstains.

I have gathered from the DesignTeam members that particularly the English ladies are currently yearning for some refreshment :-)

And of course we prepared a little bit of freshly mad inspiration for you:

I wear my sunglasses at night

 Dear crafters,

Thanks for sharing your beautiful backgrounds with us last week. It was great to see so many colours, stencils, ideas etc. on your cards.

I wear my sunglasses at night

This week we want to see (sun-) glasses on your card!

Maybe you’ll find a stamp, a die cut or some patterned paper?! Or you cut out your own glasses or you add some doodled glasses to a stamped person or creature?

(or if you’re stuck on ideas use a drinking glass instead 😉)

The design team has some ideas for you:

It's All In The Background

Happy Friday!
It's Shabneez here and I'd like to thank those of you that joined in with the July Elemental Challenge last week.

This week I decided:
It's All In The Background
Make your background the star of your creation - get out those paints, sprays, pastes or even inks and watercolours to wow us with your masterpieces!

Here's some inspiration from the rest of the Design Team:

July Elemental Inspiration Challenge

Hello

Welcome to another Daring Cardmakers Friday!

Its Kathy here this week with our new challenge, but first we all want to say a big Thank You to everyone who shared cards inspired by your favourite Garden and Outdoor Spaces.  What a fabulous journey to visit them all!

Its the first Friday of the month so time for our

 July Elemental Inspiration Challenge

I thought I'd have a go at creating my own picture this time, so gathered together a host of things to use.  There's no theme, its just a rather random assortment of crafting bits an bobs, but I hope you will find some inspiration to kick-start your creativity!
Just choose at least three elements from the picture to use when you make your card.

Ideas: bottles, beads, patterned paper, woodgrain, stencils, tags, buttons, page pebbles, frames, lace, flowers, anchor, Eiffel Tower.....

Here's  what the team have been making this week

Into the Garden

 Good morning!

It's Nat here bringing you this week's challenge, but first I'd like to thank everyone who played along with our "Just Checking" dare last week. Nice to see we're not the only fans of a plaid pattern. ;)

--------------

Over the past year in particular, gardens have become important spaces for many of us.

Whether just being a place to enjoy some fresh air, read a book in the sunshine, dine outside, or indeed witness the seasons change.

For this week's dare:

We're celebrating the bounty of your garden or favourite outside space.

To get you started, here are some of the wonderful cards the design team created:

Just Checking

Well, Hello Again!

Its lovely to see you!  Thanks so much to those who joined in last week - are you ready for a new challenge?

Here we go:

Just Checking!

All we're asking this week is that you use some kind of check pattern on your cards.
It could be stamped, embossed, patterned paper, stencilled, hand-drawn...
You could use checks as a background or as part of a design element of an image e.g. on a Chef's apron or tartan rug...
We're looking forward to checking up on your makes, but for starters here are some ideas from our fabulous design team to help inspire you
