All we're asking this week is that you use some kind of check pattern on your cards.
It could be stamped, embossed, patterned paper, stencilled, hand-drawn...
You could use checks as a background or as part of a design element of an image e.g. on a Chef's apron or tartan rug...

Up the Flag Pole!

Hello there!

Thank you so much for joining in with our challenge last week - Rizwana's mood board was so bright and Summery, wasn't it?

This week its me, Kathy here to set the challenge and I hope you'll have some fun with it!

Up the Flag Pole!

I find the flags of different nations so interesting - there are some wonderful designs to be found when you start looking, some simple and elegant, and some really wild and wacky ones!

So this week I'd like you to your inspiration from the flag of a country other than your own - there are plenty to choose from!

You can use a design element from the flag, the layout, the colours...

Hi crafty friends, Thank you for sharing you Tropical themened cards last week. they definitely brightened things up around here!

You're Mermazing!

it's Jenny here to host this week's challenge. I hope you're all having a good week and finding some time for crafting. As we are nearing the end of May, I wanted to squeeze this theme in before June comes along.

May is a month to celebrate mermaids with artists and crafters sharing their projects using the hashtag #MerMay. Tropical Paradise

Hello everyone welcome back to another Daring Cardmakers Challenge. Thank you to everyone who took part in last weeks Proud as a Peacock challenge. It was lovely to see your beautiful creations.

It's Rizwana here with this weeks new challenge and I've decided to go all tropical. I'm hoping it'll bring some warmer weather.

Proud as a Peacock

Hello, Joanne here with our challenge this week. Before the details of that though, a big thank you to everyone who played with the elements of Miri's beautiful mood board last week!

Proud as a Peacock

This week, I would like you to take inspiration from the beauty of the peacock

for your card. You might choose an image of the bird itself, a

beautiful “eye” feather or simply the gorgeous iridescent

colours of a peacock’s plumage applied to other images

- think rich blues, greens, purples and even a little bronze.

Extra brownie points if you can work in a “proud of you” or “you did it!” theme!
