Make A Child Smile

Hi all, it’s Sue here and I’m going to set you a ‘very special’ dare this week.

But before I do, we would all like to thank everyone who joined in with Lythan’s ‘Missing You’ dare last week. As always your cards have been a great inspiration to us and we really do enjoy looking at them all, so thank you for joining in with us.

Now on to this weeks ‘Special’ dare and it’s actually very simple really.

All I want you to do is make a card with sick children in mind.
It's best to avoid ‘Get Well’ cards and just aim to make something that is cheery and will bring a smile to a sick child’s face.

Now I can hear you saying….so, what make this such a ‘special’ dare?

Well, it’s special because this week we are very proud to be linking up with Post Pals, an organisation that was set up to create smiles for children who suffer from life threatening and long term illnesses.

As part of the dare, and the most important part at that, I would like you to actually post your card to one of the children listed on the Post Pals web site.
It’s very simple to do, just visit their Home Page where you’ll see they have some ‘featured’ children at the top of the page and to the Left in the side bar there’s a whole data base of children and their stories.

Just follow the five easy steps to send your card.

So there you have it……
I dare you to make a cheery card for a sick child and send it to one of the children featured on Post Pals to brighten their day.

Also, please can I ask you to make sure that any embellishments you use on your card are firmly secured? We need to prevent the chance of any accidents where small items might be swallowed if they come loose.

Naturally, we know that many of you Daring Cardmakers aren’t actually in the UK but we still want you to join in, so please feel free to send your card to similar charity in your own country.

When your card is made, don’t forget to leave us a link on the comments.
We look forward to seeing your creation and hearing about where and to who they were sent to.

Thanks for joining us this week and bringing a smile to a sick child.

Sizzling Hot!

Hi it's Keryn here this week and in New Zealand we're in the middle of winter. Not snow like some of you get but we think it's cold all the same. I want to see card creations using only sizzling hot yellow based colours like red, orange and yellow to send some heat out to us through the web.

It's been great checking out your blogs to see the weather themed cards you've been creating in response to Jo's Weather dare.

Once you've created your cards pop over and leave us a comment so we can pop over and admire your work.

For a bit of inspiration scroll down and see what the design team have been working on.

Whether the weather be fine....

...Or whether the weather be not...

Hi all, Jo here this week with a meteorological themed dare, we have had some fantastic sunshine this week so I thought that it would be fun to have a weather filled dare. Of course it doesn't have to be a sunny card, it just needs to have a type of weather featured somewhere on the card. Rain, hail, clouds and (dare I even say it) snow would all be a brilliant starting point for a card.

Thank you to all who took part in last week's team dare :)
This week we are so pleased to welcome Pascale as our guest designer for the next month, it is a great honour to have you with us.

The design team have come up with some brilliant cards for this week's Dare, can't wait to see what you come up with!

Take Five

The months are flying by and I’m sure that someone must be pinching days out of the weeks to make them shorter!

Here we are at the end of another month which means that this is the last Dare with Asia Wu as our Guest Designer. We’ve loved having her with us and being able to showcase some of her beautiful work, so a BIG Thank You Asia, for all the inspiration you’ve given us and we hope you will keep popping in to see us.
Next month we have another very talented lady joining u
s so watch this space!

We would also like to thank everyone who joined in with Kathy’s Wet, Wet, Wet dare.

As you know, we love seeing all your cards and we really do appreciate your support each week, especially as there are so many challenge blogs around now.

So on to this week group dare and it’s a nice easy one for you.

Take Five

The team would like you to make a card that features five things that are the same.
So that could be five circles, five brads, five birds, five ribbons or five of anything you like really, as long as you can fit them on your card!

Here's what the Design Team came up with.......now we look forward to seeing your interpretation of the dare. Don't forget to leave us a comment with your blog link to show us.

Happy Card Making!

Wet Wet Wet!

Hi all you Daring Cardmakers!, and welcome to another Friday challenge

This week its me, Kathy here to set the dare for you - but as ever, we'd first like to say a great big THANK YOU to everyone who shared their creativity with us for last week's "Sound of Music" - we hope you were singing as you crafted!

This week I'd like you to do a bit of "singing in the rain" and
make cards on the theme
:

"Wet, Wet, Wet"

I'd like to see cards featuring water of any kind, and if you can actually USE water in the making of them - then you can claim an extra bonus point lol.

So if you're ready to get splashy off you go....
Looking forward to seeing all your wonderful cards, so please come back and link to your blog when you've dried yourself up again!

Happy crafting

Finally, we have done for the draw for last week's dare using the number sequence generator from Random.org. The first number generated was 14, therefore, counting 14 posts down in the comments section (excluding posts which are not entries), gives us ELLEN!!

Well done Ellen, please drop us a line at ellepiggo@hotmail.com with your address and the prize will be sent out to you. Once again, thanks to everyone for taking part and we look forward to seeing all your fabby creations for this week's dare too.

Hiya everyone! Welcome once again to a wonderful Friday ! Jane here.....

I haven't been around much lately, and apologise for that - I recently went back to work and its hard for me finding any time let alone mojo at the moment ! My wonderful friends on the Design Team have been doing a sterling job keeping their gorgeous creations coming- and I would like to say a big public thank you to each and everyone of them for their continued support of me through my glitchy time. Hopefully I will be back with you full time soon. :)

Now on to this weeks dare; Tra-Laa! I want you to design a card which is 'Musically inspired'. Anything goes, whether you use musical paper, or an image of instrument - or even song lyrics.

Thank you to everyone who took part in last weeks dare set by our lovely Tanya, some gorgeous and inspiring cards were made for all those special Mums out there. x

Dont forget as always, leave a comment and a link where we can view your cards. We look forward to seeing more of your gorgeous creations and as a little extra, we have a giveaway for one lucky entrant.
