In the long run

Hello Cardmakers, Joanne here with this week’s challenge. Thank you for sharing your candles and cake with us last week!

Monday is a Bank Holiday here in the UK so that means it’s a long weekend. Use the idea of “long” to make your card. It might be the card shape (long and thin), an image of something long (dachshund dogs! soft drinks!), something representing a long journey or a long time (a map, a bird that migrates…), anything you can think of inspired by the idea of “long”!

August Elemental Inspiration Challenge

Good morning all!

It's Nat here again this week bringing you a brand new challenge.

But first, thank you to everyone who played along with our stencil-focused

dare last week!

There were so many wonderful projects and also a few items added to my wishlist now... ooops!

As it's the first Friday of the month, it's the return of our

Elemental Inspiration challenge.

You need to incorporate three elements from the image below on your card, and the colours count as one element.

Stencil it!

Good morning all!

It's Nat here, bringing you a brand new challenge for the week.

Thanks to those of you who played along with last week's challenge!

As the title of this post suggests, this week's challenge is all about stencils.

I've become quite the fan of this new manufacturer trend of designing matching stencils for stamp and die sets.

So the perfect excuse for me to challenge you all to use stencils on your card this week, whether in the form of:

Stamp + stencil + die combos
Stand-alone stencils for ink blending, texture paste, and other media
Layered stencils to create colourful backgrounds
And if you don't yet have any stencils in your stash, you can create your own masks/stencils with your existing die collection, or even some free-hand cutting for fun edges

Black And White Plus One - 22.07.22

Happy Friday!

It's Shabneez here today and I'd like to thank those of you who joined in with the challenge last week. This week I have chosen:

I enjoy using black and white on my cards as the ink is usually black and my card white but I thought it would be interesting to just add one other colour.

Less is more

Good morning!

Thanks to everyone who joined in with our Cards With Attitude challenge last week. We loved seeing your inspiring ideas

This time Enfys has come up with a fabulous idea that will challenge some of us more than others!

Less is More

It’s always tempting to add another die cut, tiny extra stamped flower, or just one more embellishment isn't it?

But this week we want to see cards with at least 75% of the card left totally blank - no stamped or embossed backgrounds. Lots of white space.....try it, it’s amazing how effective it can be.

Cards with Attitude!

Hellooo!

Cards with Attitude!
I often find myself in a bit of a card-making rut, making the same square or rectangular cards, using the same kind of layouts and embellishments etc

- and hey, they work so why not?

But sometimes its good to break out of that rut and that's what I'd like you to do this week

I would love to see cards with some 'Attitude' this week. The kind that surprise the recipient by being a bit different from regular flat(ish) squares and rectangles we all like to make.
For example; box cards, pop-ups, shaped cards, cards with unusual folds, cards that rock, cards with secret compartments.

You could even use this challenge to experiment and have a go at a kind of card you've never made before!

Go on, it'll be fun!
