A Little Extra Doodling..

Hi all, this week's little extra is the first of our little mid week tutorials...

It's Jo here this week to inspire you to add a little penwork to your card;

'One of the quickest, easiest and best of all, cheapest(!) ways to add your own personal touch to a card is to add a doodled border. I love doodling, I am far from being an artist but the most wonderful thing about doodling is that it doesn't have to be perfect, infact, randomness is good :).

This week, I would love your little extra card to be a little doodled border on your card, be it dots, stripes or little faux stitches.'

Black and white pens are two of my craft essentials, I find that a white gel pen is pretty handy to have but don't really use a particular black pen, you could even use a felt tip....

(click on the piccies for a close up view...)

or you could add a striped border for a quick and simple addition to your card; add the border and then trim the shape. This means that the finished shape is nice and neat, inking the edges helps to define the shape too....

but you can of course print or doodle straight on to your card and fill in the gaps with a white pen....

or make a 'faux' stitched border - use a pricking tool to add holes and then join them with a fine black pen....

Have fun and I can't wait to see what you create :).

I am glad I am not the only one who likes to doodle on cards once in a while. And that there are more than 2 people who don't mind doing. The support is nice.
