Billions of Butterflies

Happy Friday!

It's Shabneez here and on behalf of the rest of the Design Team, I'd like to thank those of you who took part in the pearl challenge last week.  

This week I am challenging you to use butterflies on your cards.  

I don't think I've seen as many butterflies this summer in the garden before.  I'm a huge fan of butterflies and I'd love to see them on your cards - the more, the merrier!

If you're anything like me, you'll use them to add interest to your cards or as a focal point.

Here we are at another Friday, saying  "Thank You" to those who joined in with us last week, and hoping this new challenge will inspire you!

A couple of weeks ago Hubby and I (Kathy) celebrated our 30th (Pearl) Anniversary - wow, where did that time go?

So this week I'd like you to use the word 'PEARL' for your inspiration.
I had a think and came up with a few ideas; using flat-backed pearls, pearl strings, pearl buttons, creating backgrounds with pearlescent paints, mousse or card, Mosaics with pieces of abalone (Mother of Pearl) shell, 

But I'm sure you can think of more and I can't wait to see your ideas

It might be decorative washi, a technique such as faux leather with masking tape, dry wall tape as a stencil — there are loads of different types of tape and lots of crafty possibilities.

August elemental inspiration

Hello Cardmakers, thanks for joining us in a bit of travel last week, we loved seeing your cards. 

As it’s the first Friday of a brand new month, today’s challenge is “elemental” — just choose at least three elements from the picture to kick start your card.
