Out of the Comfort Zone

Thanks to everyone who has joined in our 20/20 dare, it was great to see so many different ways of using 20 of one thing.

This week its my turn (Bondgirl aka Tracie) to dare you all. I looked at my cards last week and thought hmm they are ok but they are all very similar - white square card, double matted embellishment, printed greeting. Dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with doing what you are good at, I bet we all have our "signature" ranges but I realised what a wealth of techniques and styles I wasnt trying. So this week I dare you to step outside your comfort zone and have a go at something new - be it something you have never tried, or
something you havent done for ages.

Have a look at what we came up with ....

The Design team found that as they were creating they were remembering their early cardmaking days as well as feeling all sorts of emotions due to being out of their comfort zone. Why not let us know how you felt about it as well as showing us your cards?

As usual there are 2 ways of sharing with us. Either add a comment with your blog link or email us at
daringcardmakers@hotmail.co.uk and we will add your card to our Gallery.

Have Fun!

I decided to challenge myself to make a BROWN toned card and not to handcut anything from the patterned paper. Quite a challenge for me!! - card can be found at www.scrapsidaisy.typepad.com

It has been awhile since I've participated. I still have no scrap space and don't know where half my supplies are, but I made this simple card with what I could find. lol!

I dared! And really enjoyed it, too - not exactly uncomfortable as I've been wanting to try this for a while, but it's definitely something new! See blog.....

I've done mine, it's in my blog. And now, if you don't mind, I just try to forget the conflict between me and my glitter-glue... ;)
