July Elemental Inspiration

 Hi Everyone!

Thank you to everyone who played along with the fabulous Happy and Bright theme last week; so cheerful - I loved it, I hope you did too

It's Kathy here today and before I show you this week's challenge I've some news to share!

We are really happy to welcome a lovely new Guest Designer this weej

Helen will be sharing her cards for our challenges over the next few weeks and we are sure you'll enjoy seeing a new face around the blog!

You can check out Helen's Blog here

It's been a while, buthopefully we'll feature more Guest Designers over the next  months.  If you'd like to be considered just let us know via a message in the comments - all comments are moderated so we will pick up your message!

So, on with the first challenge of July!

July Elemental Inspiration

I've gone with pretty much the opposite of 'bright'!  My moodboard is all about Summery, Pretty Pastels and I hope you'll find plenty to inspire your creative juices within the frame!
Of course you don't even need to use pastel colours - you can choose any 3 (or more) 'element's from the mood board to use when you get creating!
Ideas: rectangles, wheels, vehicles, cake, drinks,
flowers, colours, fruit, scripty fonts, layout...

Happy and Bright

Hello Everyone!
It's Rizwana here with this weeks challenge. But first, thank you so much to everyone who took part in the  'At the Seaside' theme last week. After a dreadful start to our summer and torrential downpours finally we are seeing some warmer weather! Yay!
This weeks challenge is called:

Its time to celebrate by creating some super cheerful and super bright cards.
Here's some inspiration from the design team.

At the beach

Hello crafters,

Kathy already put us in a holiday mood with her "pack your bags" theme last week, didn't she?

It’s my, Miri’s, turn to pick a topic for this week. I am also desperate for warmer weather and sunshine and miss the sea a lot.

At the sea/beach!

So please take us to the sea this week and add anything beach or sea related to your card. Some ideas are beach huts, surfboards, bikinis, sand castles, waves etc.

Here are some ideas from the design team. We would love to see your creations too! Leave us a link 😊.

Pack Your Bags

Hello!

Happy Friday

It's Kathy here to thank you for joining in with June's Elemental Challenge last week (wasn't Nat's moodboard a good one?) and to set this week's theme.

I think it gives plenty of scope, or should I say "bags of scope"

Pack Your Bags

Please feature some kind of bag on your card this week.
Shopping bags, Paper bags, Evening bags, Beach bags,
Holdalls, Party bags, Suitcases...
Add a bag in any way you like!
You could even make a bag-shaped card

June Elemental Inspiration

Hi Everyone!

It's Nat here bringing you the first challenge of June!

But first, thank you to everyone who played along with the Showers and Flowers theme last week!

Here's hoping June will have less of the torrential showers, and more of the flowers and other summer delights!

For this month's elemental inspiration image I chose something quintessentially reflective of British summertime (come rain or shine!).

Yes, the seaside!

Choose 3 elements from the image to interpret on your card (remember the colours count as one element) and share your wonderful creations with us!

To get you started, here's what the design team created:

Showers and Flowers

Hello Cardmakers,

thanks for joining us last week, we loved seeing all the takes on the letter M!

Showers and Flowers

It’s Joanne here with this week’s challenge. It seems to have done nothing but rain here in the UK for weeks! That does mean that everything in the garden is doing well so this week I’d like to see you being inspired by showers and/or flowers. Your card might represent rain or use a technique that involves spraying water, it might be floral — extra brownie points if both showers and flowers get a look in!

Here's some inspiration from the design team.

M is for…

 Hello, Happy Friday!

A big Thank You to those who joined in with Shabneez's Let's Hear it for the Boys challenge last week - its always good to have a few masculine cards tucked away, isn't it?  Maybe you'll get at least one more made this week too!

                    M is for May,

                                      but what else?

This week, please feature one of more 'things' beginning with the initial M. Perhaps a colour (Mauve, Mango?),
a technique (Masking, Mosaics?),
An image (Milkshake, Map?)
a theme (Masculine, Music etc)
or maybe simply use a Monogram

Don't forget to share, and to let us know which 'M' items you've used!

Here are our ideas for this time

Postal Perfection

Morning everyone!

It's Nat here bringing you a brand-new challenge in time for the weekend!

But first, thank you to those of you who played along with our elemental inspiration challenge for May. x

This week, I'm shamelessly combining the theme of my challenge with my crafty to-do list.

I recently finally took the plunge and invested in the very popular and creative Postage Collage series from Waffle Flower. Postal-themed supplies have been around for a while and it's always nice to give them a fresh lease of life.

So why not make a card with a postal theme?

You can use your own Postage Collage supplies if you have them, feature postage stamps and dies, cancellation marks, vintage postcards and actual stamps, air mail borders, and anything used to write and send a letter!

So many possibilities!

I look forward to seeing what you make.

Happy crafting!
