In the Garden

Happy Friday!

It's Shabneez here and I'd like to thank those of you that joined in the Challenge last week - we loved seeing all your picture related cards and were definitely inspired!  It's my turn to set the challenge this week and it's a garden inspired one as I don't know about you but I've spent a lot of time in mine recently:

"I’ve been spending a lot of time in the garden

lately and so I’d like to see creations with
something from your garden, window box,
windowsill or maybe the garden of your
dreams on it!"

Check out all the inspiration from the Design Team below and we can't wait to see your creations!

Picture-perfect

Hello, crafters! Thank you for the really cool cards you shared with us last week. Your ideas with surprise elements, folds and apertures are very inspiring!

This week it’s my, Miri’s, turn to set the challenge.
I want to see picture-perfect cards 😊!
Use a photo camera, a picture frame, a Polaroid layout,
 an actual photograph or
anything picture/photo related on your card.

Here are some amazing examples from the talented design team members:

Peek-a-boo!

Hi everyone!
It's Nat here bringing you the details of this week's Daring Cardmakers challenge.
But first up, thank you to everyone who played along with the August elemental inspiration - it's always fun seeing which elements jump start your creativity and get interpreted on your cards. :)
And now, onto this week's dare...
I want to see you make a card with some sort of opening element!
It could be:
  • A lift-up flap
  • A surprise element (e.g., a tear-away section to reveal a sentiment, an interactive moving wheel, a pull tab with something that pops up)
  • Or simply a clever use of an aperture
The design team has created some fab projects below.

Whatever you choose to go with, happy crafting!

August Elemental Inspiration Challenge

Hello, hope you are all keeping safe and well, whatever restrictions are in place where you are. Thank you for shaking along with us last week with
a fun selection of cards!
Before going on to this week's challenge, we have some news for everyone.
As of this week, Jenny will no longer be our Guest Designer.....
because we're thrilled to announce that she's agreed to join our DT 'full time'.
So we'll all see loads more of her fabulous creations - we're so happy
to have you aboard, Jenny!

It's Joanne here and as it's the first Friday of a new month that means an "elemental" challenge here at DCM. Choose at least three elements from the picture to include in your project (colour scheme counts as one element).
Take a look at the inspiration from the Design Team - more information on individual blogs if you want to find out more about how the picture inspired them!
