Changing Seasons

Thank you to everyone that joined in with last weeks challenge.  Its Dawn here with this weeks dare from the team.
Changing Seasons
I just love this time of year with the change of the season when we slowly see the colder temperatures and the beautiful colours of nature.
So I would like you to create a card that reflects the change of the season.
This could be something autumnal, maybe for Halloween or even a festive creation as we approach Christmas.
We can't wait to see what you create and here is some lovely
inspiration from the Design Team.
Happy crafting.

Comfort and Hope

Thank you for visiting the Daring Cardmakers.  This has been a sad and reflective time for so many of us.  We have a special theme for this week's cards and we hope you will join us

Comfort and Hope
As we say goodbye to Queen Elizabeth II we can’t help but think about
sadness and loss.
Condolence/Sympathy cards are some of the hardest we make but
the comfort these messages bring is immeasurable

So this week's challenge is to make a card to bring comfort and hope to
anyone going through a difficult time.
It doesn’t have to be because of a death, many people have times of
hopelessness and sadness when a beautiful card and a message of
comfort can help raise the spirits

These are the cards our wonderful designers have created to inspire you

In the Forest

I’m not sure if you are ready for autumn yet 😉

But here’s my, Miri’s, next topic to get you crafting:

In the forest

Use some elements on your card that you can find in a forest: forest animals, plants, trees, paths, etc. or create a forest scene (a realistic one or a fairytale?!) on your card.

I love forests and I think they are great in any season: cool in summer, so colourful in autumn, calm in winter and fresh and busy in spring. I can’t wait to see what you associate with forests.

Here are some ideas from the design team:

September Elemental Inspiration Challenge

Thank you for sharing your loooooooooooong cards with us last week.

This week it’s my, Miri’s, turn to set a crafty challenge for you.

As always on the first Friday in every month we have an inspirational picture for you:

Pick three elements and use them on your card.

If all the leaves, the rain puddle and blanket is too autumnal for you … why not go for textures, floral/leaf elements or be inspired by the “work/writing” element?! We can’t wait to see what you will make out of it!

Have fun crafting!

And here are some inspirational ideas from the team:

In the long run

Hello Cardmakers, Joanne here with this week’s challenge. Thank you for sharing your candles and cake with us last week!

Monday is a Bank Holiday here in the UK so that means it’s a long weekend. Use the idea of “long” to make your card. It might be the card shape (long and thin), an image of something long (dachshund dogs! soft drinks!), something representing a long journey or a long time (a map, a bird that migrates…), anything you can think of inspired by the idea of “long”!

Here’s a bit of long inspiration from the DCM team:

Keep Your Cool

Hello Cardmakers!

It's Kathy here this week to say a big Thank You to those who were inspired by Nat's lovely August Inspiration Picture last week. We hope you enjoyed finding all the lovely textures, patterns and other elements that you could then use in your crafting.
I hope you'll have some fun with my challenge this week - feel free to head off on flights of fancy and dreams if necessary!

Keep Your Cool
It's been pretty hot so far this Summer - even here in the UK!
So let's see your favourite ways to keep cool when the temperatures soar features on your cards this week.
A dip in the sea, putting your feet in a bucket of water,
A snooze in a hammock in the shade (I wish!)
Sunhats and parasols
 Ice cream and ice lollies
A slice of juicy water melon
a long cold drink...

here's what our designers have been dreaming of this week!

August Elemental Inspiration Challenge

Good morning all!

It's Nat here again this week bringing you a brand new challenge.
But first, thank you to everyone who played along with our stencil-focused
dare last week!
There were so many wonderful projects and also a few items added to my wishlist now... ooops!

As it's the first Friday of the month, it's the return of our
Elemental Inspiration challenge.
You need to incorporate three elements from the image below on your card, and the colours count as one element.

Here's how the Design Team interpreted the elements:
