Through the Round Window

Or the square window, or the arched window, or any shape window you like!

This week its Rhi setting the dare, and I dare you to make a card with an aperture in it, it can be any shape you like and can be see through or have something covering behind it. It could be a ready made aperture card or lots of small windows punched out, diecut or handcut or one large window. It could be a shaker card and can be for any occasion. As always its great to see what you come up with in response to the dares. Here's what the Daring Cardmakers Design Team have come up with this week to inspire you, take a peek and share your creations with us in the usual way.

For some other not so good news, our Janine has decided to withdraw from the DCM design team- as she has so many other new challenges to cope with over the next few months. So, we offer Janine our sincere best wishes for the future and that she achieves all she is dreaming for.

Here's the design team creations for this week.

For anyone who hasn't joined in before, there are two ways to show us your creations:

1. Leave a message on the blog and we'll come and look. We'll also add a link to the sidebar to make it easy for readers to visit your site and see what you've been up to.

2. We also have a gallery ready and waiting for non-blogger's cards. Just email your pictures to daringcardmakers@hotmail.co.uk and as soon as they've been OK'd they'll appear on the gallery. Please remember to add your name, the dare your card is for and your website info if you have one.

Gorgeous cards, ladies!! I've done mine already too! I happened to have the 'ingredients' lying about when I read the challenge, and so I just got on with it - one of the times where not having got around to tidying up after myself worked!! And after being so miffed at myself for missing the bling challenge, I did both on one card! :oD The best bit - DD sat with me making a card of her own too, and I've stuck piccies of both on my blog - www.sprogpaws.typepad.com

Thanks for another wonderful challenge! :oD

I got one done. It isn't the planned one but that will no doubt appear later.(Had a slight row with the charm!) I had chronic back pain & couldn't craft last night!
I love apertures, they add mystery to a design.

Fab creations! I had a go and uploaded to my blog, but made a big boo boo on the last hurdle... damn that black wet ink lurking on the desk. grrrrrrrr...

Anyway, would have looked a lot better without the ribbon and flower covering up the accidental smudging and the scan doesn't do the acetate window justice - really like that technique now. hehe

Wow, such a lot of gorgeous cards - I never knew aperture cards could be so much fun!

Ros, can't leave a message on the gallery so thought I'd say well done and thanks for joining in here. love the colours and that pink patterned paper is so pretty.

Further to Kathy's comment above, why don't you set up your gallery on flickr then you can write a small narrative about who has done it and other flickr members can leave comments. I am a long time lurker on your site, love all the cards - One day I will be bold and make one and leave a link :) but as yet I simply am too ashamed of my paltry efforts. Keep up the good work - it is such a joy to visit every week Kind Regards Jackie xx
